Pain – when it becomes chronic
Pain is the body’s way of alerting us to the possibility that something needs attention. Your first step should be to see your GP and gain the required medical intervention.
But, sometimes the pain is chronic and not relieved by medication or physical therapies. We know that there is a link between mind and body. Stress and anxiety are side effects of pain and can make the pain worse. How we think about pain, how we react to it, what we tell ourselves and how anxious we are about it can make a difference to the pain’s intensity and frequency and our ability to cope.
How can Solution Focused Hypnotherapy help with pain management?
Assuming you have seen your GP, you may find Solution Focused Hypnotherapy helpful in managing or alleviating your pain.
